I began gardening at the age of seven when my family moved from a lovely wooded home to a sad, empty suburban shell. I missed the forest and wanted to bring a bit of the nature I loved to our backyard. When a neighbor shared my first iris rhizome, I began to learn what cultivating a home could really mean. I’ve been professional landscaper since 2015, and designing gardens since 2018. I’ve been trained extensively through the Clemson Extension Horticulture Program and am currently enrolled in the Master’s of Landscape Architecture program at Clemson. When I plan a garden, I prioritize long-term sustainability while drawing on basic principles of Naturalistic design.
